At Osteria al Ponte del Diavolo we are getting ready for the seasonal closure. The restaurant will be closed from November 10, 2024 until February 21, 2025.
Until then, we are looking forward to welcoming you at our tables and share these beautiful days of autumn.
The temperature is still warm and eating al fresco with the view of the garden is really the cherry on the cake of a morning spent exploring Torcello. The island right now is peaceful and quiet, the flowers are still blooming and the atmosphere is perfect for those seeking a sweet escape, with a little bit of wilderness.
Our autumn menu features seasonal vegetables like mushrooms, pumpkin and radicchio, as well as locally sourced fish and carefully selected meat. As you know, our primi piatti too are made with prime quality ingredients and are either made in casa or by small farms in the nearby area. Last but not least, our desserts are all prepared by our passionate pastry chef Daniel.
In the previous posts, we shared mainly pics of our contemporary interpretation of local ingredients, but we must say that certain traditional dishes keep being held high in consideration by our guests, in particular the bigoli in salsa (pasta with onions and anchovies), the frittura mista and the fegato alla veneziana (Venetian style veal liver). Therefore, we cannot but suggest to try a variety of foods!
